Do black shoes go with a navy-floral dress?

I need to know for my grandparent's 50th anniversary party tommorow. The shoes are plain black ballet flats.

No. I would definitely stay away from navy and black, that is dangerous territory. I would think dark brown, light brown, or cream, even red before black.

you can get away with it if the dress is above the knee.
