Best material to make an semi-circle floral curve (dance prop)?

I'm trying to make a semi-circle floral curve that daners can use to hold above their heads and dance with - I'm not sure what material to use for the basic curving rod. I would like the rod to be flexible (so the dancers can manipulate the shape), but still sturdy enough to hold it's semi-circle shape - I'd probably like the diameter of the rod to be about 0.5-1inch (not too thin)

Any ideas? Thanks!

I know they make a plastic tubing that bends easily...but is also strong enough to hold the shape you desire. After all...there are hundreds of pop tents out there that have this type of tubing to hold tents in place. I guessing...maybe check a Sporting Goods Supply store to see if they carry that tubing.
Reply:Go to any home improvement store and ask. I have some aluminum pieces that I found in my yard, and they hold any shape I bend them into. It can be cut to any length at the store.
Reply:a fluxcapasitator DUH!
