What floral arrangements or centerpieces can I do with Tiffany Blue?
I really want to have a Tiffany Blue wedding but I'm not sure what floral arrangements or centerpieces that will look good. I love fresh flowers so I would like to have them. My colors are Tiffany Blue and Brown.

How to clean a floral pick machine?
I would rinse the flower sap with warm water. I would get a bucket of warm water and car soap. With old toothbrushes and pipe cleaners I would get the rest of the grime. I would rinse the whole thing down and dry with a hair drier. I would then oil everything that rotates or moves with a light sewing machine oil.

My mom gave me these really cute floral pattern heels for my birthday. They are predominately white with a bit of red trim, and patent leather. I would not normally venture into anything beyond solids and the occasional animal print so I am not even sure when to wear these.

The dyes also supposedly made the paper harder to break down. More clogs in people's homes, and then even more difficulties in the sewage treatment plants.

Why do people think that they can claim anything on their taxes? Do you claim an energy credit every time you breath out because it warms the air?

I'm planning a wdiing for mid July, on a Sat. night in a tent. The overall effect will be formal, as the tent will be draped with creme organza, the tables will have an overlay of sheer ivory, w/ gold ribbon entwined, and the tble will be adorned w/gold charger plates, etc. I need some ideas for a very sophisticated centerpiece,(Low on the table) and need some suggestions. I cut the stems and used the flower food from the florist, but it's been 2 days and the stems are ready to be re-cut. Any suggestions for how to spike the water in lieu of flower food?

Starting pussy willows in floral foam? Anyone heard of or tried that?
I recieved a flower arrangement with pussy willows in it a couple of weeks ago.
After the flowers died, I went to throw out the arrangement and the pussywillows had sprouted leaves!
When I pulled the branches from the foam, there were small white roots running through the foam.
My question is, if I tried to do this ON PURPOSE next year, would it work again, and what would I need to add to the water that the foam block is soaked in?

You can simply start pussy willows in a jar of water. Just let them sit there until they sprout(give fresh water every few days) then plant them in some potting soil in a container. They sprout easily.
I wouldn't leave them in the foam.
I have a huge pussy willow tree and I put some in a vase with just water in they all sprouted.
You can dry pussy willlows out and they are good in dry arrangements.
Reply:Pussy willows can just be placed in water and they will root. It is one of the easier plants to root. They are ready for planting when roots reach a couple of inches long. I rooted a few this spring, stuck them in the ground, haven't had to tend to them since. You can simply start pussy willows in a jar of water. Just let them sit there until they sprout(give fresh water every few days) then plant them in some potting soil in a container. They sprout easily.
I wouldn't leave them in the foam.
I have a huge pussy willow tree and I put some in a vase with just water in they all sprouted.
You can dry pussy willlows out and they are good in dry arrangements.
Reply:Pussy willows can just be placed in water and they will root. It is one of the easier plants to root. They are ready for planting when roots reach a couple of inches long. I rooted a few this spring, stuck them in the ground, haven't had to tend to them since. Can you dye a darker fabric with a floral print a lighter color?
So... I am getting married in September and found these cheap 120" round linen tablecloths. They are a terrible print but, for the price I am willing to buy them if I can fix them. I am not sure if there is any way of lightening them. If I bleach them they might come out all splotchy. There are 20 of them. They are pretty large. They are beige with burgundy roses some greenery and blue flowers on them. Since my wedding colors are chocolate, dusty rose and ivory..yeah...I need to either get them ivory or just dye them chocolate brown! Which I don't want them brown...cause it's gonna cost alot to buy that much RIT dye! hmmmm...any suggestions on how to get them lighter...technique wise that is??? Did I mention these 20 tablecloths were only $50.00...yeah...see why i'm trying to work with them?? P.S. Wedding's are expensive...ya have to try to save somehow.

For example Quinceanera's are a big thing in the Hispanic community and there is plenty of $$ being spent there for floral arrangements even as big as weddings..

It might be easier for you to run a baby-sitting service or daycare in your home--easier to get a license, too.

My boss passed away and some people sent flowers to the workplace, how long should i leave them out before taking them down? I don't want to be disrespectful and take them down too early, then again don't want to be tacky and leave them out too long.

You can do both blog and upload your photo images for free here. They have very good security for images and blog post. What brand are those pretty floral-patterned boots I keep seeing?
The gorgeous ones I saw today were blue, about halfway to the knee, so basically mid-shin. They were blue with buttons on the side and looked like an either plastic or shiny fabric material? I am not sure as I did not get close enough to look.
Sorry my question may seem quite vague but if you have any idea what brand these were, please tell me. I'd die for those boots!

If one is interested in Floral Design as a career, which would be most pretigious school/college to attend?
School must be in the USA. And be highly reccomended... State Of The Art. Is there a list available of such schools?

If you're looking for prestige, the Vermont Academy of Floral Design is well known and respected. Here is a link to their home page: http://www.vafd.com/
You will find that most certifications come from workshops and seminars held by Master Florists, either through their own shops or at venues scattered across the country. Some Master Florists do some spectacular event, like designing for Disneyland or the Rose Bowl Parade, or a celebrity wedding, and spend the rest of their careers, not in floral design but in instruction. Many make instructional videos (and do not discount these; many are excellent).
Prestige is earned. Membership in a number of floral designer associations like the AIFD (American Institute of Floral Designers) doesn't hurt. These are the letters you see Master Florists display after their names, like AIFD, AAF, FMSD, etc.
