As long as the jacket fits you well and does not go past the middle of your bottom or have shoulder pads like the eighties it sounds good. I personally would try a cropped cardigan instead but it should do. Just make sure your hair is good too.

If you are handy with a needle, Try JoAnn Fabrics or Hancock Fabrics, they have both stock items and special order. I know JoAnn has it. You will get the exact design that you want this way. If you aren't then you could purchase cloth napkins and hang them diagnal across the curatin rod. If you want embelishments you could put the corners through napkin rings and hang rings on the rod. This would form the valance.

I did that with thrift store furniture in black, and it looks like they came out of Pottery Barn. When I feel really dramatic, I put black curtains, but usually I use an accent color from a fabric I am using at the time. Look at a great piece you love, use a color from that, and who knows? It may turn out really cool. Make sure you have other items in the same accent color, so its not too crazy in there.

Green is always complimenting to medium-dark skin tones. And if your eyes are green or blue, its also a GO!!

the two that answered above are both right. You can use silica or you can dry them naturally and use hairspray. One thing that is important, if you live in a part of the country that has high humidity. If so, they flowers tend to die before they dry and go brown.
If you decide to hang them upside down, make sure its in the dark so the colour doesn't fade.

It's called a "floral setting resin" ---it's a "soft" version of a 2-part epoxy resin (which cures very hard).
You can buy various brands of it at a craft store (in the floral dept.), or online, or perhaps in hobby or art supply stores too.

It comes with a CD-ROM that gives you step-by-step instructions on how to build a website, advertise it, add music and graphics, etc. It was $24.99 in the US; $37.99 in Canada, and 23.99 Pounds in the UK.
The CD plays on Windows 95 or later, Windows NT4 or later, or a 68040 Mac running O.S.7.5.5 or later (all Greek to me. LOL)
Then, if you need lessons in this , there is another book called "HTML 4 For Dummies," too. I got this latter one to try to write my own codes for MySpace layouts, but haven't had the courage. HA.
You can get these at any bookstore (maybe even newer editions because I've had the Web Pages book for a couple years at least), through Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, etc.

Red carnations...lots of them, bunched into floral foam, you can cut the stems to varying lengths to give a rounded appearance in the foam.
Then stud throughout with yellow daisies or carnations.
Or, reverse the colors.
The point is, use a flower that "clumps together" well.

I make masks for our community theatre once and a while and although I'm not an artist I'd like to spray finer detail and I've always used pieces of cardboard to direct the spray in certain direction. The foam is EZM or Easy foam. Is there a way to direct the spray better? I go to a very small and poorly funded charter school, and we want to sell flowers on valentines day to help raise money for a school prom or social. I have heard of people getting free flowers from floral shops when they toss the flowers that never sold. Do they still do that and how I would I go about getting donated flowers from floral shops?

then i would bring that letter to all of the flower shops near by and personally explain your situation to them
if there are any big name flower shops in the area i would go to them first because they can usually afford to give you the flowers for free/discount
some of the smaller mom and pop type places don't have that type of financial freedom and stabiltiy but they are more local so they may be more willing to help out
i would ask them if you guys could get some flowers donated (even if they were the one's that were not as great a couple of days old ones)

What other options do I have for non floral wedding centerpieces? Do you have any pics of some ideas?
I using large rectangular tables and larger fish bowl centerpieces w/ smaller fish bowls on each side of the larger one. I plan on using flowers in the larger bowls, but would like to use something differnt in my smaller bowls. Do U have any recommendations for non floral centerpieces using smaller fish bowls? Or just pictures of non floral centerpieces in general?

I suggest using small floating candles in the smaller bowls. That is what we are using in our small bowls. :)

How to scan a piece of white silk with white embroidery floral on it?
my scanner (a dell) allows me to adjust the contrast and the brightness before scanning I think I would try it on several up and down levels to see which was the right direction and tweek it form there.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are doing. But if you are trying to get a picture of a white on white piece it will be a little difficult.
Stretch the silk onto a hard surface that has some color. The color will show thru the silk and make the whte embroidery show up. Color choice has to be your decision. The darker the color the more the embroidery will show up but the less it will look like white on white.

To record the detail, you need to photograph the linen. Light coming at an angle will create shadows that will model the threads in the piece and give it texture. By it's nature, a scanner uses direct straight on light and you lose that modelling effect.
You can use basically the same approach of mounting the linen piece, but light it from the side at 45-60 deg with a desk lamp and photograph it.
You will probably have to adjust your exposure over whatever the camera thinks is correct by opening up +1 1/2 stops or so using the apeture or shutter speed controls of the camera (if it has them).
