How do I set up my own floral business out of my house?

I know about sales tax, getting a license, etc...but are there any deposits or fees you have to make with the state/government? (for insurance purposes maybe)??

How do I set up my own floral business out of my house?
No. Get a license from your area ($40 or less). Put up a sign and start selling. Collect sales tax (track it separate) and keep your own books in order, track all receipts, etc.

Past that, no much. People think there are hoops or stuff to do. A kid who mows a yard... is a business owner.
Reply:Go to http://www.score.org/ and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor to review what you need to do to start your floral business..

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
