Roughly how much money is needed to open a small scale flower shop or a floral design school?

Depends on your area. Find a high traffic location first, you will need to pay first month (and last months rent in most cases) up front plus a security deposit of 1 ½ times the rent Here in North West New Jersey it’s about a $1 a Square foot (Some landlords base there calculations on frontage, the amount of glass in the front of your store) Plus your share of taxes, Snow removal, Common Area lighting, trash ect. So if you rent a 1000sq foot store it Approx $1400 per month with fees. $3500.00 (approx at lease signing)

You will need a lawyer to review your lease, Approx $400.00

You will need a refrigeration Two door display $2500, three door display $3500 or walk in Display cooler $10K to 12K. Customer Coolers will be more

Phones – I recommended a two line roll-over (if line one is busy it will ring on line two) $50.00 per month + $200 deposit for new accounts

Work Tables – Make your own (remember florist tables are taller then normal tables 38 to 40”) Approx $400.00

Opening Supplies – Ribbons, Knives, paper, cheap vases ect. $500.00

Checks from the bank - $75.00

Credit card termial + Application Fee$450 to $650

Electric – Approx $350.00 per month (much more in the summer time)

Regersting you business name $35.00

Applications and permits for signage $150. plus a night in front of your towns zoning board sub-committee.

Paint, Cleaning supplies, light bulbs (to make the place look goo before you open). $150-$200

Counter for Cash register – made your self $300 Purchased $1000

Cash register - $250.00

Display Racks/tables – For those cheap vase you bought $500.00

Business insurance - $800.00

I would say you need Approx $12,000 to open if you use your own car for deliverys (if Not then add another $18,000 for a van and to have it lettered) This is before you buy one flower, Flower stock has to moved or tossed every three days.

If you deceide that you are going to give it a try I would suggest that you ask your landlord for one month free rent (most will give you this), Order your refrigeration as soon as you sign your lease. They will need lead time to make it. Make cardboard templetes of your major items; Cooler, work Tables and front table for your cash register – So you can get a feel for flow, and have one year worth of rent stashed away for the slow times. Good luck.

Twice as much as you expect, if your expectations are reasonable. Check out one of the staring your own business guides available at your local bookstore. Read it cover to cover and get ready for a rude awakening.

Floral garlands, bouqets, and bouteniers/cortsages (sorry for the spelling)?

Don't know if anyone has read any of my past posts, but the jist of my story is I had a floral concept designed and now I need to change it. My colors are periwinkle and silver. I want to use silk flowers (and I'm making the bouqets, bouteniers and cortsages) and I'm getting married outside at a gazebo so I need to find flowers that I can get in a garland as well as tie into the bouqets and bouteniers/cortsages, etc. I want simple but beautiful. Any suggestions????

Floral garlands, bouqets, and bouteniers/cortsages (sorry for the spelling)?
Since you're using silks, you can wire them without worries of them wilting or breaking. The wiring can help attach and blend them into swags, bouquets and garlands.

NOW is the time to experiment; if you're not terribly familiar with floral arranging, go to the library and borrow some books on the subject. Then, start practicing!

I would recommend going to a craft store or similar, and look at the various flowers they have. Off the top of my head, the only periwinkle flowers that come to mind are straw daisies and bachelor's buttons. White is easy; you can use anything from baby's breath to roses....
Reply:I put a link to save-on-crafts in the sources. You are best to order these so you can get all of them the same and at a reasonable price. You could get the greenery garland and attach the flowers to them yourself or buy the garlands already assembled. I think the price will come out about the same. Just remember to order plenty. Better to have too much than not enough and you can always re-sell on eBay after the big day. congratulations %26amp; good luck!

Does anyone know where I can purchase floral clay?

Hobby Lobby sells it in my neck of the woods. You might try asking a floral shop in your area. One word about asking a shop, the smaller the shop, the more likely they will be to answer your question.

Half flower, floral diagrams and floral formulae?

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knows of a website that will give you half flowers, floral diagrams and floral formulae for all the flowering plant families of the world. Or just the common ones...If none do floral diagrams and floral formulae then a website (or a book) of half flower illustrations would be ace.

Thanks,

Love, love, love xxx

Are floral printed skirts/dresses considered business casual?

I went from working retail, where dress code is anything cute, to starting work at a large firm where dress code is business casual. what can i get away with?

Are floral printed skirts/dresses considered business casual?
Look at what your other female coworkers are wearing.

I work in a biz casual office and here are something that are ok:

Clothes:

Long or knee legnth skirts/Dresses (remember the finger rule from school?)

Slacks/ khakis/docker type pants

Dress Capris

Sweaters/ sweater sets

Knit tops (remember the three B's- no boobs/backs/butts showing)

see through tops as long as their is a tank top worn beneath.

tank tops worn with over shirtsSuits

Blouses/ button down's

Shoes:

heels that you'll be comfortable wearing all day long

opentoe sandals/ wedges- no flip flops

doc martens or similar style with slacks

Always remember that bras/underware shouldn't be visible. If you have a cute sundress, weat a little sweater over it. Never wear jeans (even a jean skirt) unless you get approval. Your company probably has a dress code in their handbook. You can always ask your boss.
Reply:as long as you don't shpw too much cleavage or wear too sexy shoes, this should be okay
Reply:safest way is to see what everybody else is wearing and base your outfits on theirs...you can even try to add a personal touch that will show off your individuality. hope that helps. :)
Reply:Floral prints should be fine although watch your skirt/dress lengths. Usually its preferred that skirts or dresses are at least knee length and some employers will not allow you to be sleeveless... so a sheath dress would need to be paired with a jacket or a sweater. It all depends on your company policy though and it should be fairly clear. Your company policy should be made available for you to review.
Reply:it depends on the skirt I think. A dress probably isn't but a skirt could be. A floral blouse with a blazer could also be suitable. A good rule, though, would be to only have one prominently floral item at a time. Watch what other people are wearing.
Reply:a suit, maybe a pencil skirt with a coat. A mac (the mackage coat - the full form) would be dressed down but stylish. When I think of business I think of the above mentioned items. And no I don't think you should wear a floral printed dress to this ''large firm". These are a few of my ideas. Look great!
Reply:Well, If you like to wear florals, You can wear a cute top under a nice fitted blazer that lays nice %26amp; smooth on the hip!!! If you want to look really profesional, You could wear a nice fitted blazer w/ a suit skirt or wide-legged trousers!!!! Hope that this helps!!!!! Good luck!!!

Reply:yes lol

Where can I find heart shaped floral wreath?

I am looking to make heart shaped floral wreaths for my daughter's wedding. I saw the idea in Paula Dean's magazine. I am curious though, as to where to find them. I didn't see any the last time I was in Michael's or Hobby Lobby. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Where can I find heart shaped floral wreath?
JoAnn's Fabrics has heart-shaped wreaths with roses and they also have styrofoam hearts you would use to make your own.

I was in our local JoAnn's Store yesterday and they had lots of them.
Reply:http://www.balsacircle.com. Hope this helps
Reply:I am sure any floral shop can help, if not try typing into a search engine like yahoo.
Reply:I would check walmart. They normally have the flowers and wreaths so you can make your own and have the colors you need.
Reply:go to 1-800-flowers.com
Reply:take a circle and bend it or check with a florist
Reply:You might be able to fashion them out of styrofoam heart shaped forms, covering the foam with greens and flowers and creating a ribbon strap on the back as something to hold onto, when walking down the aisle. The craft stores you mentioned will be getting out the Valentine craft items now, so this will be a good time to find supplies. You might try a floral supply place, they sometimes have the forms you need. Check yellow pages? for a place near you. Good luck.
Reply:call your local florists, see if they can make one for you
Reply:I have seen them at WalMart also ask at Hobby Lobby see if they are going to get them in soon for Valentines day.

I assume that you are asking about these items for someone deceased. If that is so, your local Funeral Home should be able to provide you with a catalog or other choices you may like.

Should I buy a striped pattern curtain even though my bedspread is a floral pattern?
Here's the rule of thumb in decorating: you can mix any two, three or four patterns together, as long as they are in the same color scheme. Since your colors are the same (even if there isn't the chocolate color in the drapes), you can easily put these 2 fabrics together. I wouldn't hesitate. And just because someone makes custom drapes, it doesn't mean she has a lick of sense about decorating... it just means she can sew!

Although these may not be your colors, you'll get the idea that you can mix patterns as long as you keep the colors the same:

Your room is going to look great! By the way, I LOVE the comforter! One of the nicer ones I've seen!

Enjoy your new room!
Reply:You can always have a look at http://www.madaspenhome.com/li... They sell Papillon Linens which is a perfect example on how to mix and match different colors, prints and textiles. I love their stuff. Report It

Reply:I think they look great together. It doesn't really matter what the pattern is. It looks a lot better sometimes even if they aren't exactly the same. You should go for it.
Reply:Sorry, I hope I'm not ruining your day. I sew for a lady that does custom drapery and have seen some pretty funky stuff that looks gorgeous when put together. Just from the pics alone, I'd say don't go there. I looks like you threw 2 things together hoping to make it work. Your bedspread is fun and new and "hip" , whereas the curtain is much more traditional and "formal" looking. Have some fun with your curtains to match that great bed spread!! Depending on what look you're going for, you could draw out that beautiful soft blue, or the off white for a more subtle approach.......or go crazy with the browns or purple...........or all of the above! Your great bedspread leaves you wide open for many great possibilities. Have fun with it........this is after all, your space..........express yourself!!
Reply:Using patterns that don't match has actually been a up and coming trend as of late. The key is not to put them side by side. Try to separate them using a neutral color on the walls that lends to both pattern selections.

Try using the Benni-Moore color viewer by going to http://www.coloradofauxpainting.com/faux... and clicking on the link.

For more tips on faux painting and decorating ideas, visit http://www.coloradofauxpainting.com
Reply:i think it looks very cute!!
Reply:Think twice about this combination.

Not because of the floral/striped issue (which isn't really an issue at all, mixing stripes w/ florals is done all the time)... but I think the "blue" in the curtains is a more intense blue than your bedspread and could draw more attention to the windows --and away from that really CUTE bedspread-- than you want them to.

Also, from the curtains web site, I see one of the reviewers mentioned the curtains are "blue with a touch of sea green." Your bedspread is more of a baby blue... adding an aqua blue/green tone to the windows won't, IMO, be very attractive OR complimentary.

You could think about purchasing an extra set of pillowcases or shams and using them to "customize" a plain set of curtains. Maybe by cutting out some of the flowers and using Stitch Witchery to apply them to plain white cotton curtains?

Or add some complimentary colored ribbons (2"-4" wide) to a set of semi-sheer curtains?

Hope this helps,

    TX Griff
Reply:Perfect! Mixing florals and stripes adds interest. If everything "matches" it's boring and predictable. You are right that as long as the colors match (and the look ... both contemporary) Your choices are beautiful.
Reply:i really think you sould go for it the blues in the curtians match the blues in the bedspread and since you have alot of action in the bedspread you would want your curtians to be less active i think it would be beautiful
Reply:I think they look great together.

Question on my floral picotte dianthus plants...?

I planted 5 small dianthus plants in a long windowbox container about 2-3 weeks ago, and they have been doing pretty well, at least I thought. I noticed tonight while I was looking at them that about half of the blooms have shriveled up and gotten crunchy. I only see one new bloom about to spring up on one plant, the others are just green foliage (that foliage looks healthy) and the original blooms. There are a few leaves that have yellowish-greenish patches on them. I live in WI, and it was kind of cold when I planted them, so they might have frozen a bit.

Here's my questions:

1) I have deadheaded those spent blooms, just wondering if I should remove the damaged leaves on the plants too?

2) Does this all seem normal for dianthus? Otherwise, any suggestions about what might be causing this?

3) Will these dianthus bloom again soon?

I'm new to gardening, so I have minimal knowledge about these sorts of things. Any help is appreciated.

Question on my floral picotte dianthus plants...?
they should bloom again soon... sometimes my dianthsis do that also.. as long as the leaves stay green you should be ok.. i would pick off the yellow leaves though... i have one right now with 4 blooms on it.. and one with none.... as long as it doesnt frost up there again i would say they should be fine... i live in Illinois.. good luck!

What is the height of the floral clock in frankfort kentucky?

I can't find anything that says exactly, but most of the descriptions of the clock say "Built in 1961, Kentucky's Floral Clock is planted with 13,000 Alternanthera and Santolina foliage plants. The planter is 34 feet in diameter and weighs 200,000 pounds. The base is faced with native Kentucky Field Stone. The minute hand is 20-1/2 feet long and weighs 530 pounds. The hour hand is 15-1/2 feet long and weighs 420 pounds."

Judging from the picture, it's probably about 20 to 25 feet tall. Take a look at this picture on this guy's blog (he visited the clock).

Why does toilet paper come in different colors, have floral patterns and has to smell nice?

Does your rear end care?

Why does toilet paper come in different colors, have floral patterns and has to smell nice?
My rear does not care Wally!! My rear does appreciate the soft kind that I can no longer right now afford. I think the fancy paper is for people who like to color coordinate their bathrooms! LOL ROFL!!
Reply:It smells nice because when you sit next to it, what you do doesn't smell nice.
Reply:I don't know; but, I worked at this little Mom and Pop store once and had this man return some toilet paper because his wife said it was the wrong color and did not match the bathroom!
Reply:The color is intended to match your decor.....or maybe butt color lol
Reply:dunno. My sh@t doesnt stink
Reply:To decorate the bathroom.
Reply:We have only the white paper in Canada, although years ago we had the coloured varieties. I had heard where the dye in the paper was causing some concerns for some people. I also remember when one company marketed very strong colours (not pastel), such as avocado green, harvest gold, pimento red, and I think there was a navy blue paper. But the past 35 years or so, I've seen only white. As to why it comes in colours, patterns, etc., it's to appeal to buyers, to see what they like and how they will spend their money.
Reply:I haven't seen that in a long time. It used to be fun though when I was a kid, wrapping guys houses with pink and flowery toilet paper. Ahhhh....good times! (Geez I feel so old now)
Reply:To give your butt cancer.
Reply:That does seem like wasted effort when you consider its function.
Reply:it is a more pleasing experience that way
Reply:I haven't seen patterened or colored toilet paper in years. I thought they quit making it because the dyes and scents were irritating to people's bottoms. 2D
Reply:To compete with the Sears and Roebuck catalog.
Reply:Our store only has basic white, but I would not care and neither would my rear end.
Reply:No but there's a direct link between "it" and the brain.

It's called subliminable influence (I think) It's sorta' like if a rat ran thru your bowl of soup, the idea of it ruins the soup.

same thing, the sight of flowers and pastels makes the "event" seem more pleasant. I guess.

:) Juju

ps it's worse to have it on paper towels where the dyes go into your stomach!
Reply:I have not seen this type of paper for years. I thought that it was discontinued because of perfume and dye allergies.
Reply:Yes, your rear cares and if your rear doesn't you should.....Unscented and white is the best for your rear.....
Reply:Why? Because we love it ! When I was a kid, it came in rough, unpleasant stuff that did nothing for the comfort of the situation ! Now, I get beautiful , soft, sweet-smelling paper that really caresses the area.....its a small luxury that I never tire of.
Reply:lmao that is so hilarios i have no idea
Reply:Not me, but some people think TP has to make a fashion statement and match their bathroom decor. As far as smell, no your butt does not care and if you want air freshener buy a bottle of Febreeze. The amount of smell on some TP is so minimal at best. For me just plain old white is Ok with me.
Reply:i guess to entertain u while ur taking ur time lol
Reply:I haven't seen colored, patterned or scented toilet paper in years.

I didn't buy it when it was available anyhewwwww!
Reply:My bottom doesn't, but I care. I love to have a color coordinated room.
Reply:My rear end does not care about the color, pattern or scent. It cares about softness. The colors and patterns are for decoration. It's nice to smell toilet paper when you tear it off the roll for the purpose it was made for!
Reply:You are a funny man Tsudo - personally I do not know what my rear end cares about! Also you should know that I only buy plain white TISSUE paper, and the brand does not contain perfume (that's the 1000 sheets per roll)! CJ
Reply:wow.. i had no idea they come in different colors

i gotta try me some
Reply:one single word dude.........."women"!
Reply:It has to do with your bathroom decor and making things smell better, but I don't think they have it right yet--I would like to see it printed with pictures of some of the politicians--wiping my tush with some of their faces would be appropriate, I think., lol!
Reply:No. I use the cheapest recycled stuff.
Reply:Honestly, I haven't seen colored toilet paper in ages. Only the white stuff here Double rolls, triple rolls, all different textures, but only white paper.
Reply:It's called marketing. Since there really is no difference between back-end-wipers, the companies have to find some way to convince you that theirs is better than the competition.

Would wearing a floral skirt to an on-the-job training be appropriate?

Probably not, unless that is the sort of clothes everyone else is wearing. I'd stick with something a little quieter and more conservative.

Would wearing a floral skirt to an on-the-job training be appropriate?
The thing I was always told when considering style for work:-

Look at the person who has the job you want (whether it be the most favoured employee, the person doing the job you would like to do one day etc) and observe what they wear.

To me, for any work situation, plain conservative colours are always a better choice.
Reply:No it wouldn't as it is not a casual setting. Dress more appropriate but fit in.
Reply:As long as it show some leg and your willing to "service" the person interviewing you.
Reply:Depends on the job. Trash lady-yes Ralph Lauren designer-no.

Where to buy floral stems?

Hi there,

I was just wondering where I could buy some floral stems (approximately 20-30) to make the Hershey Roses?

Thanks in advanced.

Where to buy floral stems?
I usually get mine at local craft stores - Hobby Lobby or Michaels where I live.
Reply:you should be able to find them in the craft dept. at walmart...a lot cheaper than michael's

I have a general question? Would you have an interest in an Online Floral Wholesaler,?

By online Wholesaler, I mean, either Sell Loose Stemmed Flowers, Design by your pictures or ideas, All Occasions, Weddings? Birthdays? Mother Day? Father Day? and more?

What if Roses were as low as 11.99 for a dozen? Shipped overnight, double boxed with 100 Guarantee? What would you say?

I have a general question? Would you have an interest in an Online Floral Wholesaler,?
Interesting idea. I live in San Antonio, which has about half a dozen wholesale florists, and too many retailers to count. Plus, most of the major grocery chains carry flowers, loose and arranged. But there might be a market for something like that in small towns where people don't have such easy access to florists. One thing that might hurt you is the shipping fees. To my knowledge, the only reliable overnight shipper is FedEx and they are expensive. Another is competition from companies like FTD and 1-800-Flowers. They're also expensive but they're established. If this is a dream of yours, I certainly don't want to put a damper on it, but you do have some things to think about. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Alternatives to floral centrepieces?

I need ideas for centrepieces for my wedding ... i really, really don't want any flowers but i still want it to be wow. I have some black crystal candle sticks already but want something else with it, other then candles, any ideas? Our theme is black and white

thanx

Alternatives to floral centrepieces?
OSTRICH FEATHERS - They are so glam looking. I am using them as my centerpieces. they are a bit pricey, but look awesome you can get them in any color google ostrich feather centerpieces and you'll love them! I am getting married in MArch 09 if you like, you can but minw when i'm done....
Reply:You could take the black candle sticks and place them on top of a big mirror. Then you could sprinkle some white rose petals around the mirror and candle sticks, like this:

http://www.chateauatforestpark.com/image...

Or, perhaps you could put two black candle sticks in between one of those giant martini glasses. You could place some water and floating candles in the glasses for a nice affect - or you could add some of that crystal ice to the glasses. Maybe something like this: http://www.templeemanuelpgh.org/_storage...

There are lots of things out there that you can do without flowers. Here are a few other ideas:

http://www.theknot.com/co_profileview.ht...

I hope that this helps! Good luck! ♥
Reply:I got lots of ideas from www.theknot.com. There are many flower centerpiece ideas (of course), but there are also some other ideas-like fruit centerpieces, goldfish bowls, and many more. The site is also helpful for almost anything else you can think of for your wedding/reception.
Reply:We are taking top hats and turning them upside down and putting red roses in them. Our theme is black and white with a splash of red. The roses being the splash of red at the tables. I know you dont want flowers, but what about like a off colored satin runner under the candlesticks to make them pop.
Reply:Candles are awesome center peices you can put them in a tall hurricane vases and put clear glass stones in he bottom. Black and white is classt put the centerpieces could also be the chance to add that punch of color..maybe use red stones instead to make it dramatic. its up to you! You can also *** some rhinestones from a craft store and put them around the table, they really catch the light and will go well with your theme as well.

something kinda like this..but more glamourous.

best of luck
Reply:Fruit- Blackberries and Cream- A huge bowl/tower or blackberries and brie. You could also do things with shells- white sand dollars or starfish on black tablecloths. Rocks would do well too- some snowflake obsidian, which is dark grey and white.

YOu could also get some cool strings of lights (round lanterns or square on strings in black and white).
Reply:I used beige fans on beige flower stands along with ice buckets because we put the bottles of wine directly on the tables. You might want to look for black and/or white fans with stands. I got mine in bulk and it was really cheap. And boy were they ever taken!!! People snatched them up and took them home with them. We did not have ANY left!
Reply:white silky fabric scrunched/bunched up in the center of the table with the candle sticks in the center. The tablecloths should be black with white napkins. If you want more bling, you can try a fabric with some sparkle.
Reply:Large bowls each with some black and white stones in the bottom and a small black fish (goldfish do come in black).

Reply:How about filling a fancy vase or hurricane sconce with those decorative stones and dropping one of those illuminating lights in the center...for the glowing effect?

I was at a wedding and they were absolutely gorgeous and very unique!

Anyone selling a cheap floral dress on millsberry?

Is any one selling a floral dress on millsberry i could buy or have for less than 1000 millbucks.

Anyone selling a cheap floral dress on millsberry?
Trust me, I have been playing this for a long while, and I actually have this item. The cheapest price I saw for that dress was 50K, and I bought it. I'm sorry, but if you really want this item, you should start putting some Millsbucks in the Bank, and here are my tips to help you!:

First, if you want to fill up your stats, do the following:

FITNESS: Play Sherman Home run Derby. It is fun, and you get 7 fitness points for getting a score over 1000.

CIVICS: Play Galactic Defender Adventure. It is fast to play, and you also get 7 fitness points for a score over 120.

HEALTH: Eat the following if Grumbly or below:

Cheese Stick

Tomato

Grapefruit

Peanut Butter %26amp; Jelly Sandwich

Also, you can use a grooming tool.

INTELLIGENCE: Play Hide and Go Seek. It is just a game that goes by fast.

Yard Sales:

Most people buy things in a shop and then, they just sell it in a yard sale for more money. I think that is a stupid idea, because they can just buy it at the store for a cheaper price. But, go on this link that I will put on the sources which is the Classifieds. What you do is you choose a neighborhood, then search the item, and you might find it selling for a cheaper price. For example, if you search white paint, you are going to find it selling for LESS than 100 millsbucks.

On millsberry’s main page there is a link with Coach Danner telling you about Health Tips. click on that and it will take you to a website and that will give you 1000 millsbucks. But, you only can do this on Thursdays.

Game Tips

Tricky Touchdown- 1000 points

I would chose the boy. When I chose him, it happensto get a higher score. You need to do both the courses within 20 seconds.

Bumper Boats- 500 points

I would choose Slyvie, but you have to wait a minute to see her. To do this, scroll to the training dummy, and when you see her, you click the right arrow key. Or, you can choose Robert J. Williams. I won with him, not Sylvie.

Millsberry Gazette: Editor in Cheif- No trophy

What I do is I only hire 5 writers, and 5 editors. Then, I fast forward it to wait until there are 5 scoops. Then, I pause it to get the scoops. That way, you don't waste any time getting articles.

Black Belt Karate- No trophy

You need to use lots of accuracy. But, to get a real high score, you need to be a black belt.

Sudoku- 1000 points

Play the

"Hard" level, and go to anagrammer.com and use their Sudoku Solver. You need to complete the puzzle within 10 minutes.

Slap Shot Shootout- 1800 points

Try to get your charactor in the yellow hockey outfit. Choose "Better Shooter" and always aim to the left. It's kind of hard, because you need to get at least 30 shots in the first round. If you win all levels, you get an extra 150 points.

Wave Blaster- 1201 Sylvie Sofa

Instead of a trophy, you get a Sylvie Sofa. You should try to kill all the sea creatures thet are in a group, by doing that, you get 5 extra points per group.

Archery Challenge- No trophy

Try to aim higher at the balloons. You get more points that way.

Lucky Charms® Charmed Life- 1250 points

Try to get all the objects, and you should try to go real fast, because you get more points that way. Also, you should get everything you need in level 3, then lose a life. That is the level that you can get the most possible points.

Reese's® Puffs® Cereal Snowboard Slalom- 1500 ponits

You need to use Kelly inorder to win. She is difficult to work with. To unlock her, you need to get 100% in health and in fitness. Once you have Kelly, make her do a double backflip for 160 points.

Millsberry Hide %26amp; Seek- 500 points

Try to remember all the names, it helps a lot. Also, you should bring a friend to help you.

Galactic Defender Adventure- 500 points

Try to get the ball stuck in one location. Also, try to be the last one standing, you can get more points that way.

Sherman Homerun Derby- 10000 points

I would move to the middle of the batter's box. Keep your focus, it may take about 10 to 20 minutes.

Sink The Three!- 1586 points

Try to use a slow computor. Make sure the quality level is on high, so the graphics are good to see, and it's slower. If you have a browser like Mozilla, zoom in as much as possible.

Rope Race- 785 points

Press F11 on your keyboard to make the screen bigger. That way, you cannot close the browser on accident.

Countdown!- 3126 points

You add the last 2 numbers, like 37+14, you just add the 7 and the 4, and then you look for an answer that ends in a 1. There will be a likely chance that there will be only one answer that ends in that digit.

Peabody Half Pipe Compitition- 4651 points

Try to do lots of combination tricks. Also, do the combination tricks with backflips, or triple kickflips.

Peabody Park Fishing- No Trophy

What I do is buy the Red Fishing Rod, a worm, and fish in the reeds. That combo has given me lots of luck.

Peabody Park Cleanup- 2519 points

Run in straight lines. It helps, because the squirrels get caught more easily.

Peanut Butter Toast Crunch® Swirl- 591 points

This game is full of chance. I would not move the cursor much.

Millsberry's Match Wanted- 940 points

Try to match up the people near the chest. Make sure you don't fill the screen up!

Hop-n-Drop- 450 points

Do the "Hard" level. It's the excact thing, only you get more points, and you are timed. Try to memorize the patterns.

Solver- 443 points

Use anagrammer.com to do it. Also, you can use the "Enter" key on your space board to make it faster.

Here are my dojo tips:

White Belt - You need to purchase a Gi at the Toy Store

HOW YOU DO IT

Go to the toy store on page 6, there will be a Gi selling for 450 Millsbucks. You need to buy it.

Yellow Belt - Send a "Thank You" card to Robert J. Williams

HOW YOU DO IT

On the address book, search robertjwilliams. Make sure you click on the top entry. Then, you send him a "Thank You" card. If you send any other type of greeting, it will not work.

Orange Belt - Take a picture of Sylvie

HOW YOU DO IT

Go to the Home Entertainment Superstore and buy a camera, any type is okay. Do not put it in your house. Then, you go to Sylvane Lake and if you see her, click on her. Sylvie is out 3 times every day.

She appears the first time between 7:00am and 12:00pm EST and she is out for 1 hour. It's always from the top to the bottom of the hour. But not like 8:39-9:39.

She makes her 2nd appearance 5 hours after the 1st appearance. So if she's out at 11:00am she will be out again at 4:00pm.

The last appearance doesn't have any time pattern, but always in the evening. She is out for 1 hour each evening, but you can't be positive.

Green Belt - Find the Sensei's cousin Patrick's watch in the Colehurst Tunnels

HOW YOU DO IT

1)When you enter the tunnels, go straight ahead and keep going until you reach a place where you have to turn either right or left. There will be a small rock on the wall that can be clicked, and that will let you into a secret chamber. If you don't find it try this:

2)Keep on going straight ahead in the tunnels untill you see a rock on the wall. Click on it. If you do not find it, try this:

3)Follow the directions to chamber 1, and turn left when you reach the choice to go left or right. Go straight until you reach a point where you must turn right. Turn right and the wall in front of you will again have a rock than can be clicked. Click on that rock, and it will let you into the 3rd chamber.

Blue Belt - Pass a quiz about past events in millsberry

HOW YOU DO IT

What I do is open a different browser and go to the link that shows you Millsberry's past events in Town Hall. I will give the link in the sources. With the other browser, you take the test.

Brown Belt - You need to fish in the Peabody Park Pond to find the wallet, ring and camera that were lost by the Sensei's cousin Patrick

HOW YOU DO IT

Go fish in Peabody pond, I reccomend buying the Red Fishing Rod, and buying the Worm bait. This task gets very time consuming, but it is not hard.

Black Belt - Grown and prune a Bonsai tree until it looks excactly like the bonsai tree in the poster that was given to you by the sensei.

HOW YOU DO IT

There is a book in the bookstore titled "Caring for a Red Leaf Bonsai" that provides some helpful hints.

The tree will be shown at the bottom of the "My Place" screen below your trophies. The best advice I can give you is to wait until it grows all three branches of leaves before you prune it. That way, you can be 100% positive that you have not over-pruned it. I would prune it once and visit the dojo to see if the Sensei says the tasks is complete. If not, prune it again and re-visit the dojo. Be sure to not over-prune your tree, or you will remove the branches of leaves altogether.

My last advice is to make sure you open a bank account. Put as much money as possible into your account, and you will earn interest on your money every day if you check.

Good luck to you in Millsberry!

Question about a floral arrangement of tulips that I made!!!!?

Hi! I'm very inexperienced in making floral arrangements, but I did one today for the first time (for Mother's Day). Anyway, it's of tulips (all tulips, as that's the only flower she's not allergic to), and I pulled off some of the leaves that were all cruddy and brown. Will that make the flowers die more quickly? I figured that the leaves were already dead, so taking them off wouldn't hurt. Not to mention, it looked horrible with the dead leaves. I also cut the flowers at an angle and put them in a vase. What I'm wondering is, what temperature of water do I put in? Do you put hot water (like a Christmas tree) or cold? Is there anything I should put in the water to make them last longer? Thank you sooooooo much! Immediate help is appreciated because she'll be home in like a half-hour. THANK YOU!

Question about a floral arrangement of tulips that I made!!!!?
Removing dead leaves should benefit the arrangement rather than hurting it. Cutting at an angle is good as well. I believe lukewarm water with half a teaspoon of sugar will help prolong the life of the flowers.
Reply:cold water....not hot it is best if cold water is put in

If you like the dark earth tones, pick one and go with a solid color. If you like the lighter tone in your sofas go with a cream or beige.Sounds pretty by the way.
Reply:Choose a solid color of curtains that matches whichever color shows up the least in the print. That way, you are adding more color instead of too much of just one.

Can I wear a white floral dress to a wedding this weekend?

It's white with lots of blue and green flowers, but I'm never sure about these types of things.

Can I wear a white floral dress to a wedding this weekend?
No. Find another dress ASAP or you'll look tacky.
Reply:No only the bride may wear white DUH!
Reply:Its not considered appropriate for anyone else to even wear a different shade of white much less whilt with flowers. I would go with another dress. You could show up wearing it but its not worth the risk of scowling guests and people talk ing about it. Its kindof stupid but you would be so self conscious the whole time and probably not enjoy the wedding as much as you could. Find something more suitable. You can never go wrong with a little black dress.
Reply:Never wear a white dress (even one with flowers) to a wedding. Also, it sounds like a sundress which can look casual...if this is an evening wedding you should try something a little dressier.
Reply:I think that as long as the whole dress is floral you're okay. What you should ask yourself is, if you stand from a distance does it look like a white dress? Or like a multicolored dress? If there are just a few flowers up a the top and the rest is plain white, I'd avoid it. But most floral dresses seem to be the color of the flowers, so you're probably okay. Have fun this weekend!
Reply:Who says what's appropriate? I wore a white dress with pink and peach flowers on it to 2 different weddings. No one was offended or had anything to say about it. Wear what you want, and have a great time! :)
Reply:It depends...how much white are we talking about? Is it mostly white with just a few floral designs or are we talking about full-on print? Generally, white dresses are only to be worn by the bride.
Reply:Im going friday to a wedding to my sister in laws wedding, i cant stand her so im showing up in a black suit.
Reply:Girl get you another dress that is not white.
Reply:you should be ok with a floral dress. it just can't be all white.
Reply:As long as there are lots of flowers you should be fine, but if there is only one or two flowers on the shoulder or hip then no way.
Reply:If it was all white, I'd say no. But it sounds perfect! Enjoy!
Reply:No, it is tacky to wear white to a wedding. The bride is in the spotlight and is recognized by wearing all white. Do not take away the spotlight from the bride because I can guarentee you there will be hard feelings. I am sure you can find a prettier dress than a white sundress.
Reply:No I wouldnt chance it. Try another dress.
Reply:No, only the bride should be in white. It would be very tacky for someone else to show up in a white dress.
Reply:Depends on if the bride is wearing white.
Reply:yeeeees...if its got lots of flowers on it that are different colors its fine......

I am a boy.

What kind of clothes to wear on a theme like:- "FLORAL"?
I'd wear a pastels, and then if possible wear a floral pocket square in your blazer.
Reply:Flower/Nature prints I'm assuming. You could probably get by with a more fashionable look, by having a small floral print, and then earth-tones like browns and dark greens to compliment the print.
Reply:a bright, floral Hawaiian shirt could do wonders! good luck with finding something.
Reply:You could find a floral patterned tie and wear with a nice dress shirt and pants.

Why is the rose the floral emblem of engerluund??

is it because its full of pricks??

Why is the rose the floral emblem of engerluund??
how very true
Reply:No, it's because you have to go to Wales to take a leek.
Reply:No. Because the 2 royal houses, the House of Lancaster and the House of York had a battle over the English throne. The Lancaster emblem was red and the York one was white. When the two houses came together, they merged the two emblems together to make the Bosworth rose. England isnt full of pricks
Reply:Better to be a rose than a thistle full of ugly pricks, ie big noses and ginger hair!!!

I would like to "save" some of the roses from my mother-in-laws floral piece - how do you do this?

if you hang them upside down, they will dry out and still keep their shape. then they will last a long time, as long as you don't accidentally brake them. also you can spread them out from the center, flatten them and put them in wax paper.

in both instances, they will lose their bright color (the color will get darker), but it is still pretty and a nice way to save them.

I would like to "save" some of the roses from my mother-in-laws floral piece - how do you do this?
There is a product on the market which preserves organic material indefinitely, the colour, shape... used mainly for flowers. Can't remember if it's an epoxy resin or a silicon gel but if you check a local arts and crafts store they'll be able to point you to the right product.

Can someone give me a summary of the eight basic arrangements in floral design?

yes, i know theres sites that show it, I have a presentation coming up and Id like to get some feedback of how I should present this info on this part of the presentation. I say the naem of arrangement, and basically what it consists of and how it looks and everything. I just cant put it into words to describe it all..If someone would please help me out, it would be nice :-)

Can someone give me a summary of the eight basic arrangements in floral design?
I would put each type of arrangement on separate boards. On each board, put some pictures of actual arrangements that represent that type and also put the large corresponding basic shape on it (like a Round arrangement picture and a round circle). This is as basic as it gets and it gets your point across. Seeing actual arrangements and the basic shapes will help people correlate the type of arrangement with what its supposed to look like.

Average weddings costs for tux rental, floral arrangements at the church?

The average tux rental is between $100 and $200. My husband has been in 8 weddings and it's usually $125. Floral arrangements at the church can be around $75 to $200+ depending on how big they are. Some people get two large ones and reuse them at the reception, which I think is best.

Average weddings costs for tux rental, floral arrangements at the church?
I know that If you use David's bridal you can get you tux rental for free I think that is if she gets her dress there.
Reply:Tuxes can be $59 and up, depending upon if you want designer or not. The average is probably $100.

I used two or three floral arrangements at the church - probably $60 each, I think. We used them at the head table at the reception site.
Reply:tux rentals here are under $100. like about $60 -$80. I spent about $300 total on flowers (bouquets, bout, coursages, etc.)
Reply:I don't know the answer but I guarntee you that I will not be spending over $3000 for my wedding next year. I am going to do a lot of things on my own like invitations, food, flowers. etc.
Reply:Floral arrangements for the church (altar) need to be large or they get lost. It is difficult to get anything appropriate for under 200.00 USD, unless the church is very small ...then the arrangements can be smaller.

Usually, 2 arrangements are needed. You might also check with your church. Some denominations require that the arrangements remain at the church as an "offering" for the services the next day. (The Episcopal %26amp; Roman Catholic Churches often do this.)

You can save yourself at least half the cost by doing the flowers yourself. Really, it's not that difficult.

In fact, most brides will do at least some of their own wedding flowers.

Of the natural floral scents as perfumes, which is nicer, lavender or rose?

I sometimes like to use old fashioned flower perfumes, such as lavender scent, rose, lilly of the valley etc. My two favourites are lavender and rose. But which is the most beautiful?

Of the natural floral scents as perfumes, which is nicer, lavender or rose?
I personally love lavender. I can be completely stressed out but as soon as I burn my lavender candle I start to feel better.
Reply:not sure. but i like lavender candles.
Reply:This question requires an opinionated answer. If you are just asking for opinions I like Rose.
Reply:lavender, as a word its beautiful read, and as a scent its my girlfriends fav, i'd go with lavender
Reply:Personally, I like rose much better.
Reply:Lavendar! Delicious!
Reply:I'd choose lavender over rose.
Reply:i like lavender.
Reply:Well I will answer this from an allergy stand point. Lavender is milder TO ME and I dont feel the urge to sneeze when I smell it.
Reply:Lavender would be my choice over rose. Lavender is a more universally appealing scent and stays fresher longer than rose. Men tend to like lavender on women (from scientific articles and magazine polls I've read) because it's feminine but not overpowering. Rose scents can be cloying, overly sweet, and dominate other notes.

In the end, choose the one you like best!
Reply:I like rose, but of the 2 I prefer lavendar. However, Lilac is my favorite of the florals. I sometimes also like to wear Myrrh, Frankincense or Spikenard perfume.
Reply:i would have to say lavender...very clean%26amp;%26amp;classy. never can go wrong with lavender :]

Are you going to be making arrangements and such? Are you wanting pictures to get ideas? Maybe you could check out www.hallmark.com, or www.marthastewart.com They always have nice looking flowers and arrangements.

If you need a book on flower arranging, check out www.amazon.com, they have everything and if you can get a used book, they can come pretty cheap.

Here's the color's....dark green carpet, green, gold and burgundy floral striped valances, camel colored couch

camel colored couches, burgundy recliner, golden oak end tables and entertainment center. I want to paint a couple walls a different color than now white. What color would be the best?

Here's the color's....dark green carpet, green, gold and burgundy floral striped valances, camel colored couch
Sounds like my livingroom minus the carpet. I would consider a light tan. You definetly want to stay away from white or lighter cream. I would take your valance to a paint store and find a tan that goes well with the gold, that will be your toughest objection.
Reply:Sounds lovely. There are a lot of things to consider, such as the size of the room, the positioning of the furniture and draperies in conjuntion with the painted walls. Here is a good website that dicusses the use of color. I'm sure whatever you choose it will be great. You just need to make sure you consider the size of the room, how it interacts with everything else, and make sure that the hue of the color you choose is in the same color family as one of the colors you are already using.

I took down the painting link.. you may have better results using this site. http://www.seemydesign.com/
Reply:A light tan will bring out the dark colors you have. A dark wall color will make the room look boring and depressing.
Reply:soft tan
Reply:A neutral brown or tan would be good...

Im trying to sell some beautiful floral fabric and some hot pink and lime linens. No success with e-bayHELP!!!

Do you have a craigslist website for your area? Go to www.craigslist.org to find out. There'll be a list of cities on the right hand side of the screen. You can put stuff for sale on a local site at no charge. It's like advertising in your local newspaper classifieds, but online with pictures and it doesn't cost you a thing!

try a garage sale, or advertise them in your local paper, try nursing homes or bingo halls.
Reply:If you have a local paper, like a bargainnews.com, that could help you move the item. And sometimes, they have specials so you don't have to pay for the ad.

Is it possible to rent floral china for my wedding reception in So. California?

I have looked at dozens of websites to try and find a place where I can rent floral china (specifically tea cups, saucers and dessert plates) for my wedding. Since my fiance and I am unable to pay for a full sit down dinner I am having a tea-style reception, with punch and tea and tea sandwiches and cake. Since we are going easy on the cost of the food by going to a tea theme I feel I can afford to splurge just a little bit and rent floral china, unfortunately I haven't found a place to do that with. Any ideas? We are having out wedding in the Pasadena CA area.

have you tried calling one of the places that you did find? Possibly they can arrange for special items that aren't necessarily listed on their websites. Here's one that looks promising

I need ideas for floral centerpieces for a navy blue wedding??

Blue is a relatively rare color for flowers, but there are several beautiful varieties of flowers that go well in/with blue.

If you want to stay with primarily blue flowers, I would suggest looking at hydrangeas, delphiniums, and irises. Hydrangeas come in a few shades of blue from a bit darker to pale, almost purplish hues. Delphiniums are blue, but are smaller than many other varieties of flowers. Irises can be blue, but will have a yellow swath on one of the petals, which is great if you plan on accenting with yellows/golds/oranges.

Of course, if you are using accent colors, you can always use arrangements in shades of the accents to compliment the rest of the decor.

If you have a lot of money to spend on the wedding, you could even buy blue roses, which are beautiful, but are often not a true blue as they are dyed. A truly blue rose has been developed, but I do not believe that the botanists who genetically engineered that gem have been able to produce enough separate plants to mail out yet, and so the cost for the blooms is astronomical.

I need ideas for floral centerpieces for a navy blue wedding??
I love yellow with blue. For something non-traditional, how about sunflowers? They are so cheerful and less expensive. You could also go with gerbera daisies in both yellow and orange. Orange is a complementary color of blue, so tiger lillies may also be nice. If you want to go more "classic", I recommend yellow roses, regular or calla lillies. Also, regular white daisies with the yellow center may be a more muted pop of color. I also like the blue hydranges with the purple tips.
Reply:Mines a red wedding and I got a fishbowl and put a red pillar candle inside then poured in some sparkly clear plastic crystals and set on a candle mirror, its lovely you could do the same but with blue candles, or even put in white flowers and use food colouring to dye the water navy blue x
Reply:try fuchsia, Ivory, maroon or maybe yellow

ask the florist you pick if they have a book of their previous work and see if anything jumps out at you.... good luck
Reply:Tall Cylinder glass vases....multi blue or sea glass stones, shells and starfish inside, with just a few pieces of floral coming out the top.
Reply:Tall cylinder glasses filled with white carnations, white rocks, white ping pong balls, then insert tall, tall white gladiola or calla lilies and one or two plumes of navy grasses. Very striking would also be keeping it simple and striking by just 3 red roses in a glass vase in centre of each table set on top of a round mirror. Navy is such a clear, clean, crisp color that the more simple you keep it, the more elegant it will be.
Reply:I say totally go with the white. It won't look sailor-ish, it will look crisp and classic. If you are afraid of it, I would say the next best choice would be pale blues. Do not do pink or lilac - gag!
Reply:Hi and congratulations!

I'm am assuming when you say a "navy blue wedding", you mean that the bridesmaids dresses are navy blue. I am assuming, again, that you want flowers to compliment your navy blue color scheme, as no flowers come in navy blue.

I love bright yellow with navy blue. I would have WHITE table linens, a navy blue vase, and YELLOW roses (my first choice), or YELLOW sunflowers, or YELLOW tulips, etc.

OR....you can go with a blue hydrangea....still in the "blue" family. Put them in navy blue vases:

http://www.rosesource.com/20_Stems_Light...

ORANGE would also be a bold complimentary color!

Good luck!
Reply:I think yellow would go nicely with the navy color scheme. Maybe yellow roses or lilies in clear vases with votive candles around them.
Reply:I'm hoping that you have some other colors, because flowers don't come in navy. And if you go with white, you run the risk of having a nautical/sailor wedding. I would go with something in pale pink. Or a lilac color, but it really depends on the rest of your wedding. And any other colors. You should post some more details.
Reply:Navy blue? I don't really know if you can get dark blue flowers (unless they're fake or dyed) but red roses would complement navy blue very well. And, it avoids the sailor look a bit. Just don't mix in white...then it will be a 4th of July wedding!

Where can I buy floral for a small business at wholesale price?

Check the city that you live in for a flower market. There are usually wholesale floral warehouses that sell to either companies or the public. Also try soliciting the growers in your area.

Do a web search, just type in wholsale floral supplies or wholesale silk flowers and plants. Also do the same for baskets and supplies.

Since a wedding planners job is about bringing together different vendors (ie: floral designers, photographers

Do Floral / Florist Delivery people get tips from the person they deliver to? What is the usual tip?

I have never heard of tipping a flower delivery person. Especially, since someone is sending you the flowers as a gift. However, I did research it and found the following website that shows suggested amounts of tips to be given in a variety of situations such as flower deliveries. Its a neat website- check it out. It suggest $2-$5 for a flower tip.

Do Floral / Florist Delivery people get tips from the person they deliver to? What is the usual tip?
I've never heard of tipping a delivery person. The florist charges the person placing the order a delivery fee, and the driver gets a salary. A few dollars might be a nice gesture, now that you mention it.
Reply:I have been a delivery person for a florist, and tips are not very common. Occasionally, someone has tipped me maybe 1 or 2 dollars, but I always thought that it should not be expected of someone receiving what is usually a gift, and I did feel a little uncomfortable accepting a tip at those times.

How does one train as a master floral designer in st. louis mo?
You are most definitely overstating things here some what. Skills like this have to be developed over a long period of time.

In order to be a master of anything, you have to be good at it and to naturally have a skill is half the problem overcome. Go to a college and learn, ending the year with a qualification.

You cant get anywhere otherwise, then with that and experience, you'll then have a chance of becoming a master floral designer, and you'll also discover that there are very few short cuts.

Does your cat wage a war against floral arrangements? Biting? Tipping vases over?

Accidentally on purpose of course.

Does your cat wage a war against floral arrangements? Biting? Tipping vases over?
I have a cat named Sputnik who is 21 years old. She's still feisty! As a kitten she was a tiny terrorist in fur. Her favorite games were: grab the toilet paper in your teeth and run through the house, wrapping everything in TP as you go. Her second favorite game: doing the same thing with the paper toweling. No piece of mail, canceled check, or daily newspaper was safe from shredding. My first question upon arrival home was "What did Sputnik wreck today?" She was a mini Tazmanian devil without depth perception, managing to knock everything over.

We finally learned to kitty-proof the house. Anything not nailed down was fair game. It was good practive before we had kids.

She also liked to bite. When she bit me, I just quit playing with her. And since she loved to play, she eventually quit biting.

She's the greatest cat that's ever lived--and she still has spunk to spare! Be prepared for twenty more years of bliss....
Reply:Used to like to chew on plant leaves (can be dangerous) because he knew he wasn't supposed to, eat tinsel from tree, been known to bite a Christmas light cord, (not all the way through), tear the bows off of presents, help out with the cooking a whole lot, help with gift wrapping and on and on. Boo was his name and danger was his game. Boo liked Christmas.
Reply:Of course LOL. I had one who LOVED flowers. He would smell them for a long time, then eat them.
Reply:No. My persian cat is almost an angel.

The only problem is that she likes to sleep in my pillow.
Reply:most of the time their just playing but sometimes if you hurt them they might get angry. Some cats rub on vases including my own cat because their happy but if you chase a cat and they rub against it on their way past they could knock it over. Bye!
Reply:lol if it can be distroyed my cats will do it
Reply:My cat considers plants and flower arrangements to be half playground and half salad bar.
Reply:YES!! All cats will do this at some point whether you see it or not. They are curious, and the ones that dont do this are just lazy or old. But you do need to be careful though cause some plants are poisinous to cats!! that or they will make them very sick. That is the reason that there is rarely any flowers in my house.
Reply:Oh yeah.

My grown kids know not to send me flowers. They have seen flowers with anything that looks like lilies on top of an overturned bucket in the small cold foyer the cats can't get to. Well, what were they thinking? The pollen of lilies is poison.

Send me some cat grass. LOL
Reply:Mine doesn't do it the least bit accidentally. :-P

Thoughts on floral arranging on a budget?

You didn't say if you want to use fresh or silk, so I will presume fresh flowers...

Costco sells fresh flowers very cheap and they are great quality - where else can you get 2 dozen fresh cut roses for $14?? If you don't have a membership, I am sure someone you know does...

Where I live (MI) we have many Thrifty Flowers shops - their fresh cuts tend to be very reasonable, especially depending on the season (for instance, they sell a bunch of fresh gladiolus for $3 in the summer time, since that is glads season). Thrifty also sells roses super cheap around Sweetest Day and Valentines. They also after publish coupons in local papers. But keep in mind - their roses are not the highest quality, yet they will do the trick if you only need them for a day or 2.

The cheapest kinds of cut flowers also tend to last the longest: daisies, mums, and carnations. These can be bought for $7 a bunch or less, and will last you a week or more if you care for them the right way.

If you are REALLY feeling cheap or you are just plain broke, what about wild flowers? Where I live Queen Anne's Lace and wild Daisies grow like weeds in some areas. As long as you aren't in a state park or someone's yard, run out there with a pair of scissors and snip away!

You can also grow your own flowers to cut in the spring. Flower seeds are super cheap!

As for "arranging" - I think the quickest, simplest method is a vased arrangement. You can buy vases at the dollar store, or look for old Mason jars @ garage sales.

To ensure fresh cuts last the longest, give them a cut on an angle, with a paring knife, and put them in cool water. If you want the blooms to open faster, use warm water instead and put them in a sunny window. Remove all foliage (leaves) that will be submerged in the water (they make the water rot faster). Make sure you change the water out every few days or when the water becomes murky (whichever comes first).

Good luck!

Thoughts on floral arranging on a budget?
stick with silk or seasonal flowers. They will be cheaper and try to find a greenhouse that will wholesale them as well. Flowers that are normally found at this time will be cheaper than going for ones that are not in season.
Reply:Try using something that grows wild in your area. I live in Iowa and there are plenty of wild flowers etc in the ditches. Even some of the weeds are useful in an arrangment. Take a ride into the country and enjoy yourself.
Reply:When I was in High School I took a class on floral arranging off campus. It was called R.O.P. Regional Occupation Program. We did arranging for Holidays, Birthdays, and Weddings for at cost prices. Try looking into an adult school like that. Good Luck!
Reply:Not sure what you mean (I'm guessing) that you would like lots of flowers you could do floral arranging (on a budget). Visit your friends that have flower gardens and I'm sure that they would help you out.

Now...that's on a budget !!!
Reply:go to Costco and buy some flowers, you will be amazed at how elegant you can make the bouquet look.

My sister used Costco flowers to walk sown the Ilse at her wedding, she just cut the stems pretty short and wrapped the stems in some silk ribbon...looked amazing.
