I'm trying to go see the floral carriages in Pasadena, CA. How do I get there coming from LAX?

Sheesh. No wonder they say we can't drive in LA. Nobody knows where they are going. Kingsley, how would you stop giving directions at the end of the 110? If I was out of town following your directions, I'd be lost for hours!

Here are much easier directions, which avoid the downtown area:

From LAX, take Century Blvd or follow the signs to the 405 freeway north. This can be a bit of a trek, depending on time of day.

Take the 405 north (about 12 miles) to highway 101 east.

This part may seem a bit tricky, but if you stay to the left, you'll always be fine. Continue east on highway 101. In Burbank, it changes to the 134 east. Stay to the left and you'll be fine. After another few miles (in Pasadena), the 134 changes to the 210. Once again, just stay to the left and you'll be fine.

Exit at Sierra Madre Blvd, and turn left onto Sierra Madre north, following the signs. It's a bit tricky, so pay attention or you'll wind up on another street.

Follow Sierra Madre for about a mile, and you will see all the "floral carriages".

(BTW, we just call them "floats")

Yikes, these are directions for tourists, guys, for people that use terms like"floral carriages"...only KISS directions need apply.....Follow Obviousman's directions....
Reply:its too late now the floats are gone
Reply:Tomorrow, Jan 3, is the last day. From LAX, take the free shuttle bus to the Metro Green Line. Take this train to the Blue Line, then north to Metro Center Station. Take the Red Line to Union Station. Take the Gold Line to the Sierra Madre Station. Walk up Sierra Madre Boulevard, following the signs and crowds to the floats.
Reply:105 east to 710 north, east at 10 and north on San Gabriel to Sierra Madre. There they are.
Reply:Are you driving or taking a cab? Take the 405 north to the 10 east....then the 110 north....the 110 ends in Pasadena. Go to Yahoo maps and that will help you.
